The last few nights have seen me revert to my usual pattern of insomnia.
My dreams have been quite serious ones. Also they they have been useful. What a change.
In one I am a passenger in my science fiction universe. I am escaping from a prison world by executing a 'Spatial Transit' into a hyper-spatial aperture between worlds. I travel through time and space. It all is about to make a lot of sense and just as I am about to be able to 'claim my noble prize' I wake up and forget most of the details. Typical.
The next dream has me adventuring again in the same universe. This time I am a sort of Time travelling Jedi Knight kind of person. I have dealings with warlords and bounty hunters and I uncover a plot for the foundation of a new galactic empire.
And then I wake up again.
I have had a few other dreams. Mostly prosaic. Some disturbing, which I would rather think about a bit more before sharing.
So that is it. More sublime than ridiculous. That is what happens to me sometimes when I sleep. If I sleep.
